The Art of Noticing
BY D.C. ELLIOTT

Meet Dan Elliott
Behind the Lens
Born in Wyoming and blind in one eye since birth, Dan Elliott has spent more than 25 years looking at the world through a camera. What might seem an unlikely beginning for a photographer has become part of a remarkable journey of learning to see.
A photographer, filmmaker, and storyteller, Dan has traveled from the American West to Haiti and beyond, documenting people, places, and the moments that reveal their character.
His work is shaped by an appreciation for light and shadow, contrast and perspective, and the belief that truth, beauty, and goodness are worth seeking out and preserving.
Through his photographs, Dan invites others to slow down, look closer, and discover something they might otherwise have missed.
